CINCINNATI — It took just about 60 full minutes, but Eli Holstein and the Pitt offense gave Ben Sauls just enough time to nail a game-winning field goal to knock off the Cincinnati Bearcats.
It wasn’t the prettiest performance for Holstein and the offense or Rasheem Biles and the defense, but the combined effort was just enough to secure a 28-27 victory and improve to 2-0 early in the season.
Holstein discussed his adjustments and dominant fourth quarter, Desmond Reid talked about how otherworldly performance as a rusher and receiver, Rasheem Biles broke down the defensive turnaround and Sauls said he was ready to nail the game-winning kick — one of three made field goals.
There’s no quit in Pitt. They could have packed it in after halftime. Best comeback in 35 years !
FINALLY!!!!!!!
H2P!!!
