CINCINNATI — It wasn’t always pretty, but Pitt did what it had to do in a 21-point comeback victory against Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Pat Narduzzi broke down the 28-27 victory, discussing the play of Eli Holstein and the faith he had in his redshirt freshman quarterback, the heroics of Ben Sauls, a defensive turnaround and much more.

Pitt trailed by 21 points late in the third quarter, but Holstein and the offense (helped by a dominant defensive performance in the fourth quarter) rallied to improve to 2-0 for the first time since the 2021 season.

The Panthers have a bit of momentum now, rolling into a matchup against West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl at Acrisure Stadium next weekend.

COAH NARDUZZI: Please put 2 deep to return punts. It’s killing us!!! If one guy can’t determine where to be, use 2 guys. This has been an issue for years.

****Great win, and love the never quit attitude!

why did Duzz mention Cincy v Morgan state last year? meant Towson and last week? too many hits in the head for the Duzz?

what was the hang time for your terrible punter this week?
