On Wednesday, DMV-area scout Colby Giacubeno reported that the Pitt staff was in the building visiting another 2026 recruit from Maryland.
This time, a member of the staff went to see Parker Robinson, a class-of-2026 four-star guard who now plays for Overtime Elite. Robinson is ranked as the No. 102 player in the class of 2026 according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Robinson heard from Pitt first on June 15, the first day that college coaches could directly reach out to recruits in the rising junior class.
Clemson, Creighton, Pittsburgh and Tennessee were all in this week for top-60 2026 @OvertimeElite/@TeamMe7oEYBL G Parker Robinson this week.
Pitt was in alongside staff members from Creighton, Clemson, and Tennessee, per Giacubeno.
Overtime Elite is home to a number of prospects that Pitt is currently going after, including Meleek Thomas and Amari Evans, two Pittsburgh natives who left the Steel City to join OTE.
Pitt is currently awaiting commitment decisions from several top targets in the class of 2025 including Omari Witherspoon and Derek Dixon, who are both DMV-area players. Witherspoon, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Saint John’s College Prep, will announce his decision on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. live on the 247 Sports YouTube channel. Dixon, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Gonzaga Prep, will announce his decision on Sept. 27, his birthday.
Giacubeno joined The Pittsburgh Basketball Show on Tuesday to break down both recruitments, talk about Witherspoon and Dixon’s skill sets, and much more. Check out the full episode below.
Geez, every basketball story just regurgitates the same old stuff. Can’t wait until Witherspoon commits somewhere tonight, so that we can start hearing about the six prospects who have Pitt on their final list of top schools.
