UPDATE, 7 AM: Former Pitt star Rashad Weaver is getting a chance with a new NFL organization.
Weaver, who was a first-team All-ACC and All-American at Pitt in 2020, was elevated to the Houston Texans’ active roster on Wednesday. He spent the previous three seasons in Tennessee, after being selected by the Titans in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Weaver racked up 49 tackles (29 solo), 11 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a recovery and seven pass breakups in three seasons.
