Calvin Vento, a 6-foot-2 guard out of Central Catholic, announced that he had received an offer from Division II Seton Hill.

On Wednesday, another WPIAL prospect posted that he earned a collegiate offer.

Calvin Vento, a 6-foot-2 guard out of Central Catholic, announced that he had received an offer from Division II Seton Hill. Vento becomes the 18th current high-school player in the area to receive an offer from a Division I or Division II program.

Vento played his summer ball for Caveman Basketball.

“My guy made the decision in April to fully commit himself to the game,” Central Catholic head coach Brian Urso said about Vento in a tweet. “…He had himself a BIG TIME summer, trusted in the process, kept his faith, and now gets a BIG TIME OFFER. Congratulations Calvin.”

Vento joins Enzo Khalil as another Central Catholic player to receive a college offer. Khalil, also a 6-foot-2 guard, holds an offer from Slippery Rock.

Four prospects on the Pittsburgh High School Basketball Recruiting Board have committed to colleges already: Tyler Robbins (Miami Ohio), Courtney Wallace (Yale), Ama Tening Sow (UT Martin), and Brady Mayo (Bucknell – to play football). There are currently eight uncommitted prospects in the area that hold a Division I offer, headlined by RJ Sledge out of Imani Christian and Josh Pratt out of Aliquippa.

Sledge holds offers from Canisius, North Carolina A&T, Bethune Cookman, and Fordham, while Pratt holds offers from Robert Morris, Northeastern, Pepperdine, and Hofstra.
