UPDATE (12:31 PM)- Another big week for former Central Valley and Pitt star as he starred for Tampa Bay.
UPDATE, 10:12 AM: Fresh off of a GameDay visit to Pitt, elite Central Catholic 2027 offensive tackle Jimmy Kalis will be at another stadium this weekend. On Saturday, Kalis will be in attendance for the Ole Miss game against Georgia Southern.
UPDATE, 9:20 AM: Pitt’s 3-0 start has improved bowl outlook with at least one national writer. Action Networks Brett McMurphy has released his weekly bowl projections and has placed Pitt in a more prominent bowl game. This morning, McMurphy forecasts Pitt to play Illinois in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl on January 3rd in Charlotte, North Carolina. The more Pitt wins, the better the bowl forecasts.
UPDATE, 9:03 AM: Pitt redshirt freshman quarterback Eli Holstein has been one of the biggest stories of the 2024 college football season.
Holstein is one of just 3 quarterbacks (Cam Ward/Miami, Fla. and Kyle McCord/Syracuse) season to throw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns in their first 3 games.
In case you’re wondering, here’s how Holstein’s start compares to Kenny Pickett’s special season in 2021.
UPDATE, 8:45 AM: Former Pitt running back James Conner put together his best game of the young season, racking up 122 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. And in the process, he crossed the 5,000-yard mark.
Conner is in his eighth season in the NFL and is coming off one of the strongest seasons of his career. He’s up to 37 carries for 172 yards and two touchdowns already this season — on pace for another standout campaign.
