The City Reapers, a team in OTE’s league, drafted Meleek Thomas. Amari Evans is already a member of the squad. The two Pitt targets are both initially from Pittsburgh and are now playing down in Atlanta as opposed to finishing their high-school careers at home. It appears as though the two players are thrilled with their teams in OTE this year after the draft.

Meleek Thomas’ Ranking Changes on 247 Sports

247 Sports recently updated their 2025 rankings, and changed both Thomas and Evans’ ranking.

Thomas, formerly at Lincoln Park, is being recruited by Pitt, as well as UConn, Arkansas, and other big-time programs. The guard has been a five-star prospect for years now, according to numerous recruiting sites. Now, with 247 Sports’ rankings update as of last week, Thomas has a new ranking.

Thomas is still a five star, and has dropped down to the No. 11 ranking overall in the entire class. He was previously ranked No. 9 by 247 Sports. Thomas is ranked as the No. 3 combo guard in the country, behind only Darryn Peterson (No. 3 overall player) and Brayden Burries (No. 9 overall). Thomas is also the No. 2 player in Georgia, as he is now playing for Overtime Elite which is based in Atlanta. Had he still been playing in Pennsylvania, Thomas would have been the top player in the state in his senior class.

Meleek Thomas cut his list to the following schools: UConn, Kansas, Alabama, Pitt, Auburn, Kansas State, and Arkansas.

Thomas is ranked highly alongside Evans, who was previously at Bishop Canevin. Evans is now ranked as the No. 80 player in the 2025 class, jumping up from No. 96 in the class, his previous ranking.
