PGHSN PULSE

Welcome to the PGHSN PULSE, providing weekly insight into Pitt football, recruiting and high school football in Western Pa.

With the dust settled from Pitt’s 38-34 win over West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl, it was time for Nathan Breisinger and Karl Ludwig to discuss an epic battle and comeback win for the Panthers. The duo talks about Pitt’s grit and fight while facing a 10-point deficit and how important redshirt freshman quarterback Eli Holstein has been for the Panthers.

They also highlighted the turning point in the third quarter when Maverick Gracio blocks the Mountaineers punt and Brandon George scoops and scores to put the Panthers ahead momentarily.

Additionally, Nathan and Karl discuss the impact the game has on recruits that were in attendance, including Elijah Dotson who picked up a big offer from the LSU Tigers this week. The PGHSN PULSE digs into what type of threat the Tigers pose to the Panthers for Dotson.

To conclude the show, the two take a look at new expectations and the trajectory of the 2024 season for the Pitt Panthers after a 3-0 start with Pitt have an opportunity to go undefeated in non-conference play for the first time in program history.

The PGHSN PULSE will provide weekly insight into the local college and high school football scene in Western Pa. from Pitt football down to recruiting. Be sure to tune in every week to get the latest in football news, along with compelling interviews and guests.
