Who’s Out for Pitt Against Youngstown State?

Published

Pitt linebacker Braylan Lovelace.

PITTSBURGH — Pitt is without a handful of contributors against Youngstown State — especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Keye Thompson left the come-from-behind win against Cincinnati early and wasn’t active last week against West Virginia. He was not present for warmups, and neither was Braylan Lovelace.

Brandon George will likely receive a heavy workload at Mike, as will Kyle Louis and Rasheem Biles at Star and Money, respectively. Jordan Bass is also in line for his heaviest workload of the season. Depending on how the game unfolds, the true freshmen could receive their first action of the season, too.

Sean FitzSimmons and Anthony Johnson didn’t play against WVU and won’t play against Youngstown State. It gives additional opportunities to players like Elliot Donald and the true freshman duo of Francis Brewu and Jahsear Whittington. Ty Yuhas, a true freshman defensive lineman, was also not dressed for warmups.

Isaiah Montgomery and Jiavani Cooley were also not warming up, wearing street clothes on the sideline.
