Carrington, Jeff Capel’s first one-and-done prospect at Pitt, starred for the Panthers from the moment he arrived. The Baltimore native posted a triple double in his first career college basketball game in a home win over North Carolina A&T. He then played an excellent season for Pitt, and went on to thrive in the Wizards’ Summer League stint as well. Now, as he prepares for his first season of NBA basketball, many are wondering how the Wizards will utilize his talents at such a young age. In an interview with Monumental Sports Network’s Chase Hughes, Wizards’ head coach Brian Keefe spoke about how the team plans to use Carrington in his rookie year.
“We’re going to play a little bit positionless to where a lot of people will handle and make decisions. We look at him as a guard who can make plays for himself and for others. You can see that he’s a multi-talented guy who’s a good rebounder that can push it in transition. We’ll see him handle playing on and off the ball,” Keefe said.
