The name “Meleek Thomas” is synonymous with “showtime.”
Thomas, the five-star prospect out of Pittsburgh, is now playing under the bright lights of Overtime Elite in Atlanta, Georgia, and has gotten off to a hot start.
The latest viral moment for Thomas came from a slam dunk that he threw down this week. Check out the posterizing slam, in which Thomas dunked over five-star Kentucky commit Jasper Johnson, below.
Thomas, a 6-foot-4 guard, is ranked as the No. 7 player in the country for the class of 2025, per 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings. Thomas began his high-school career at Lincoln Park in the WPIAL before making the decision to transfer down to Atlanta to join Overtime Elite for his final season before college ball.
Thomas is scheduled to visit Alabama this upcoming weekend. He is also considering Pitt, UConn, Arkansas, and others in his recruitment. Thomas has already taken official visits to Pitt and UConn, and has this upcoming visit to Alabama on the slate as well as a trip to Fayetteville to check out John Calipari’s Razorbacks on Oct. 4.

The highly-touted guard won back-to-back WPIAL and PIAA titles last high-school season as a sophomore and junior at Lincoln Park, averaging 22.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He has been a significant Pitt target since early in his high school career and has been to numerous games over the past few seasons alongside former teammate and current Pitt guard Brandin Cummings.
