A prospect that currently holds an offer from Pitt’s men’s basketball staff is on the move.
Quincy Wadley, a class of 2026 prospect out of Bishop O’Connell in Arlington, Virginia, is transferring to AZ Compass Prep. The 6-foot-4 guard is ranked as a five-star prospect and the No. 22 overall player in the country by 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings.
“Quincy is a crafty guard that is an elite scorer at all levels,” AZ Compass Prep said on Instagram. “He can shoot the cover off the ball and uses his quickness to get to his spots. Quincy has a high IQ and impacts the game on both ends of the floor. His athleticism and efficiency, as well as high motor and elite shooting are reflected in his high level play. Welcome to the family.”
Wadley received an offer from the Pitt staff back in April 2024. He holds a plethora of high-major offers, listed below.
Wadley holds offers from the following programs: Villanova, Maryland, Georgia, Providence, Temple, Texas A&M, Florida State, Pitt, Arizona State, Georgetown, Clemson, Miami, Missouri, and Kansas.
Pitt currently has one player committed in the high-school ranks: 2025 guard Omari Witherspoon. Witherspoon plays his high-school ball for St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C., the same school that Ishmael Leggett played for. Witherspoon is a 6-foot-4 guard who chose the Panthers over Maryland and Vanderbilt. He is now a four-star prospect according to 247 Sports, jumping from No. 191 in the nation all the way up to No. 104 overall according to 247’s latest rankings update.
