The Pitt staff offered Jasiah Jervis, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Archbishop Stepinac, a basketball powerhouse.

On Friday, the Pitt basketball staff offered a class-of-2026 prospect from New York.

The Panthers’ staff offered Jasiah Jervis, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Archbishop Stepinac, a basketball powerhouse.

Jervis posted the offer on Twitter.

“Blessed and grateful to receive an offer from the University of Pittsburgh,” he said.

Jervis holds offers from St. John’s, Saint Bonaventure, Saint Louis, Rhode Island, Iona, Hofstra, Fordham, Manhattan, and others, per 247 Sports. He is unranked on 247 Sports, but On3 ranks him as the No. 108 player in the class of 2026.

The Panthers have reached out to at least 20 prospects in the class of 2026, including Quincy Wadley, who the staff offered last spring. Wadley, a five star, recently transferred from Bishop O’Connell to AZ Compass Prep.

Pitt is heading into year seven of the Jeff Capel-era, coming off a second-straight 20-win season. The Panthers finished last year 22-11, but said goodbye to stars Bub Carrington (Washington Wizards) and Blake Hinson (Golden State Warriors) as they went off to the professional level. In addition, the Panthers said goodbye to Federiko Federiko (Texas Tech) and William Jeffress (Louisiana Tech), as both players transferred out this past spring. Pitt returns key players Jaland Lowe, Ishmael Leggett, and Zack Austin, among others. The staff also brought in a talented group of newcomers, headlined by transfers Cam Corhen (Florida State) and Damian Dunn (Houston) as well as freshmen Brandin “Beebah” Cummings, Amdy Ndiaye, and 21-year-old wing Amsal Delalic.

Do you really need to recycle that last paragraph in every mbb article?

That’s not the only overused paragraph they’re using in just about every mbb story.

Karl recycles the second half of every football article word for word for about four articles. They must get paid based on the number of words they write.
