The past few weeks have seen a dramatic increase in recruiting interest for one of the top edge rushers in the WPIAL Class of 2026.
It started with the first Power Four offer from Boston College, then Penn State offered while on a game day visit and now Reston Lehman has picked up an offer from the Pitt Panthers.

Lehman — a 6-foot-4, 230-pound edge rusher from Peters Township — now holds eight total Division I offers with Akron, Eastern Michigan, Buffalo, Miami (OH) and Central Michigan to go along with the three Power Four offers.
Pitt defensive line coach Tim Daoust has started to form a relationship with the WPIAL product as the Panthers have shown interest for quite a bit, but now they finally pull the trigger with a scholarship offer.
Pitt has shown great interest with game day visits and coach Daoust is great telling me good luck on game days,” Lehman told Pittsburgh Sports Now last week. “I had some great conversations with their coaches, especially coach Daoust.”
Lehman attended the first two home games for Pitt this season and was impressed with the program.
“The Pitt games were absolutely awesome,” he said. “I was there for Pitt vs Kent state and the Backyard Brawl which was an experience like no other.”
Lehman is an explosive and physical piece of a Peters Township squad that is coming off of its first-ever WPIAL title and has carried that momentum into the 2024 season, starting 5-1.
