Pitt offensive coordinator Kade Bell is quite aware of the type of players that fit his fast-paced offensive system.
That is why Bell recruited some of his former players such as Desmond Reid, Censere Lee and Poppi Williams to join him at Pitt. They were familiar with his system and, more importantly, had the skill set to succeed in it.

Over the weekend, Bell, wide receivers coach JJ Laster and tight ends coach Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to a player that seems perfectly suited for the Panthers passing attack in wide receiver Quentin Gibson.
The most interesting part of this offer is that Gibson is a recruit in the class of 2025.
Gibson is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound wideout from North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. The offer from Pitt joins others from schools such as TCU, UTEP, New Mexico State, Texas Southern, Bowling Green, Arkansas State, Colorado State, Stephen F. Austin and more.
Gibson is off to a very fast start in his senior season, racking up 24 receptions for 589 yards and 13 touchdowns through just four games. He’s an electric playmaker who doesn’t let size hold him back.
The offer — and the timing of the offer — feels similar to when Bell swooped in late to secure a commitment from Tyreek Robinson, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound wideout from Shreveport, Lou.
Robinson is one of the few true freshmen on offense to see the field this season, taking nine snaps in the season-opener against Kent State. If a wide receiver fits the new offense, he will play quickly.
