Impressive Weekend for Pitt Football in the Pros

Published

on

Former Pitt and Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner.

Pitt was off over the weekend, but that didn’t stop some former Pitt stars from making an impact on the professional stage.

It was a good weekend for former Pitt stars in the pros, as Pitt football had a bye week before the North Carolina clash this weekend, and the Panthers showcased a level of talent across the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

There are some injuries to some of the top Pitt stars (and Aaron Donald may no longer be on a roster), but the Panthers are well-represented. Pitt has some very good pros in the NFL.

Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner — 18 carries for 104 yards (5.8 yards per carry) and a touchdown, one reception for nine yards

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison — three receptions for 72 yards (24 yards per reception) and a touchdown, one carry for seven yards and a touchdown

Tennessee Titans WR Tyler Boyd — two receptions for 31 yards

Minnesota Vikings DE Patrick Jones — three tackles (one solo) and a sack

Buffalo Bills S Damar Hamlin — three tackles (two solo) and a pass breakup

New York Giants CB Jason Pinnock — four tackles (two solo)

Philadelphia Eagles CB Avonte Maddox — five tackles (three solo) and two pass breakups

Tampa Bay Buccaneers S Jordan Whitehead — six tackles (five solo)

I watched part of that Bills-Ravens game. I don’t think anybody on the Bills’ defense had a good day.
