PITTSBURGH — Pitt football transitions to conference play this week when it travels to North Carolina to take on the Tar Heels. Panthers safety Cruce Brookins, wide receiver Censere Lee, offensive lineman Lyndon Cooper and linebacker Rasheem Biles met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the team’s 4-0 start.
As a redshirt freshman, Brookins has made an impact over the first four games, including his first-career interception against West Virginia. Brookins discussed what that feeling was like and how he has made the most out of his playing time so far this season.
Offensively, Lee has been one of multiple receivers to record a 100-yard performance as he did so against Youngstown State in large part thanks to an 82-yard receiving touchdown. Lee went into depth on what the transition has been like from Western Carolina to Pitt through four games and what this offense has done so far.
At center, Cooper has slotted in nicely for the Panthers so far this season. He details his play and how Ryan Jacoby and Jason Collier have performed next to him at left guard.
Biles spoke on his play through four games and the game plan for North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton.
