One of the WPIAL’s best young guards will take a trip to the bluff on opening night in college basketball.
Greensburg Central Catholic class-of-2027 guard Brandon Martin Jr. received his first Division One offer from Marshall weeks ago, and now has some more recruiting news. According to Jake Lieberman, Martin will take a visit to Duquesne on Monday, Nov. 4, when the Dukes host Lipscomb in the season opener.
“I’m a 6’6” combo guard, 15 years old,” Martin told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “[I] can use both hands effectively, have a nice mid range game and play above the rim. On defense I am a pest, getting blocks off the backboard, blocking shots in general, getting steals, using my length. The thing that sticks out most about my game is my ability to play above the rim. There has been multiple times where I dunked on people.”
Martin told PSN that he has received interest from Miami (Ohio), Youngstown State, Kent State, California (PA), and Concord. He holds an offer from Marshall, which he received on his recent visit.
