This will be the second Pitt game that Armstrong has attended this season, the first one being the West Virginia game back in September.
“I feel great going back to Pitt,” Armstrong tells PSN. “I love the atmosphere and believe that what the coaches and players are doing there is amazing. There seasons been going great they’re surpassing all expectations and are on an amazing win streak.”
The 6’2”, 210-pound left-hander has started all 9 games this season for the Hopewell Vikings. Armstrong is a true dual-threat quarterback with the ability despite his big frame and also has a rifle for an arm.

As the season has progressed, Coach Matt Mottes and the Vikings staff have given Armstrong more opportunities to throw the ball and he’s produced.
For the season, Armstrong has completed 77 of 159 passes for 1,121 yards, 10 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. With his legs, he’s rushed the ball 174 times for 596 yards and 9 touchdowns.
“My first season of being a high school quarterback has been going pretty good,” said Armstrong. “I feel like every week the coaches and team are trusting me more to make decisions. I’ve learned a lot this season and since I’m still young, I know this season will better prepare me for the next couple years.”
Armstrong is still waiting for his first D-1 and Power Four offer but considering his talent and upside, it really seems like it’s just a matter of time.
