Another Pitt recruiting target has committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels.
On Saturday, 2025 recruit Isaiah Denis committed to UNC and head coach Hubert Davis after fielding a crowded recruitment. Denis, who officially visited Pitt earlier this fall, chose the Tar Heels over Pitt, Miami, Tennessee, Wake Forest, and Ohio State. 247 Sports ranks the 6-foot-5 guard as the No. 47 player in the nation in the class of 2025.

Denis becomes the second Pitt target to commit to North Carolina this fall, joining Derek Dixon out of Gonzaga Prep in Washington D.C.
Denis visited Pitt in late August.

Denis jumped from three-star status up to four-star status this year after a strong high-school season and a strong summer-ball campaign.
“I think it was a long time coming,” he told Pittsburgh Sports Now in a previous interview. “During the high school season, I had a big high school season. Last June, I played in the Peach invitational tournament and picked up some high major interest there. They just didn’t offer. They just built that relationship during the high school season. Mississippi State would text me, Virginia Tech, and more. I knew the Ohio State assistant coach who was at NC State that was recruiting me to go there, until he got the Ohio State job. So it wasn’t like these schools were just calling me out of nowhere, a couple of them I already had a relationship with, they just wanted to see me get out and play after I had a good high school season. They got the head coaches out to see me play in the live period, and once that happened, I had a good showing in the live period and they were ready to offer.”
Clown Coach whiffs again
had a strong offer sheet but not surprising that he chose to stay “home” in carolina. we’ll get to watch him play. H2P !
NIL money is killing PITT. Can’t play or pay with the big boys. 0-7 on 4 stars going for more money elsewhere…💰💰💰💰💰💛💙
Stupid statement. You have no idea what was offered.
He cannot compete against North Carolina or or Arkansas or Tennessee. They are better programmed than pit right now.
Dolla dolla bills y’all. It makes you wonder if Pitt will land any of the big fish Coach Capel has targeted.
