A massive Pitt target has narrowed his list.
Meleek Thomas, a five-star guard in the class of 2025, has narrowed his list to three schools: Arkansas, UConn, and Pitt. He will commit to one of those three programs on November 11, per source.
Thomas, a five-star prospect, is a Pittsburgh native. Now playing for Overtime Elite in Atlanta, he is fielding a loaded recruitment as his senior campaign is underway. He previously had a top-school list that includes UConn, Kansas, Alabama, Auburn, Kansas State, Pitt, and Arkansas. Now, that list is down to just three, and the hometown program made the cut.
This week, several national analysts logged predictions for five-star guard Meleek Thomas to go to Arkansas.
Recently, several reporters predicted that Thomas will commit to Arkansas.
NEW: Predictions Roll in For Meleek Thomas’ Commitment
Thomas, a 6-foot-4 guard, is ranked as the No. 7 player in the country for the class of 2025, per 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings. Thomas began his high-school career at Lincoln Park in the WPIAL before making the decision to transfer down to Atlanta to join Overtime Elite for his final season before college ball.
The highly-touted guard won back-to-back WPIAL and PIAA titles last high-school season as a sophomore and junior at Lincoln Park, averaging 22.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He has been a significant Pitt target since early in his high school career and has been to numerous games over the past few seasons alongside former teammate and current Pitt guard Brandin Cummings.
Five-star high school player Meleek Thomas is currently competing at an invite-only camp led by NBA All-Star Chris Paul.
Thomas has been to Pitt for unofficial trips and games many times, in addition to his official visit.
More than likely.
No doubt.
Great chance for the new AD to show what he’s got..Doubt it though
If he already had his mind made up then why cut the list to 3 and include Pitt. I believe the panthers have a chance.
I agree. I believe our our new A.D. will do everything he can to allocate the funds.
I concur with you Paul, He only took an offcial to the hogs at the end of June.
He has been to Pitt many, many times, & besides there is only one other guard
committed, so far!
I’m hopeful.
Fingers crossed but we’ve been passed over so many times it’s hard to think this will end differently.
