On Monday night, Jeff Capel’s Pitt Panthers will open the 2024-25 season against Radford in a non-conference game in Pittsburgh.
PITT’S OUTLOOK
The Panthers are looking for a third-straight 20-win season under Capel, however, they want more.
Pitt’s motto this year is “Leave no doubt.” The Panthers will look to returning core Jaland Lowe, Ishmael Leggett, Zack Austin, and Guillermo Diaz Graham to combine forces with transfers Damian Dunn and Cam Corhen along with rookies Amsal Delalic (injured) and Brandin “Beebah” Cummings this season.
RADFORD (Big South Conference)

RADFORD PREVIEW
“I like our competitiveness,” Nichols said in a preview with the Big South. “We’re extremely competitive. We have a lot of guys who are interchangeable pieces. We’re a lot bigger than last year, have more size and physicality. So, I really like how competitive we are. The biggest thing that we need to make a big jump on right now is just coming together as a team with all of the newcomers.”
Radford returns Josiah Harris, Truth Harris, TJ Nesmith and more. The Highlanders added Jarvis Moss, David Early, Tony Felder, Jonas Sirtautas, Xavier Foster, Chace Davis, and more out of the transfer portal this offseason.
According to the NCAA’s NET Rankings, Radford finished last season ranked No. 236, while Pitt wrapped up the year ranked No. 40. Pitt is ranked No. 37 in KenPom’s preseason rankings, while Radford is ranked No. 262.
