PITTSBURGH — Pitt football head coach Pat Narduzzi took to the podium Monday afternoon on the South Side to recap his team’s brutal 48-25 loss at SMU.

The 23rd-ranked Panthers looked flat from the start with missed tackles from Rashad Battle and Tamon Lynum. Narduzzi answered questions about his team’s performance and execution in Dallas.

Narduzzi also discussed the performance of quarterback Eli Holstein, how team’s have adjusted to the once explosive Pitt offense and his overall trust in Holstein moving forward.

In addition, the tenth-year coach noted that his team has been quiet since the loss and are focusing on not letting this type of performance happen again.

For the entire Pat Narduzzi press conference, watch below.

Can’t ask for more than taking accountability in my opinion. Hopefully this loss motivates this team to really dig deep to give it everything they’ve got for the remainder of the season in the same way the Western Michigan loss motivated that Pitt team in 2021.

I was always patient with Pitt but I must admit that Western Michigan loss saw me questioning everything for the first time. Glad it all turned out alright because at that particular time I wasn’t really sure if it would or not.

Someone ask this guy about the Punter situation. They’ve missed two years in a row in the transfer portal and hired a Specialist coach to get this righted.
No one asked him about the fake Punt turned short field touchdown either at the beginning of the 2nd half. He had room to Punt it instead of that flop of a trick play.
