Several former Pitt Panthers were in action on Monday on college basketball’s opening day.

Federiko Federiko – Texas Tech
Federiko played 15 minutes in a win over Bethune-Cookman, scoring five points and grabbing five rebounds.
William Jeffress – Louisiana Tech
Jeffress played 24 minutes in Louisiana Tech’s win, going 4 for 7 from the field and 1 for 4 from three-point range. He finished with 10 points, six rebounds, one block, and one turnover.

Nate Santos – Dayton
Santos went 1 for 9 from the field and 0-6 from three-point range in a Dayton win over St. Francis (PA). He scored four points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out three assists.
Dior Johnson – UCF
Johnson’s UCF squad upset ranked Texas A&M on Monday night. He played five minutes in the win, going 0-2 from the field, 0-1 from three-point range, and scoring 0 points.
John Hugley – Xavier
Hugley played six minutes in Xavier’s opening game against Texas Southern, going 0-1 from the field (three-pointer), scoring one point, grabbing two rebounds. and committing one foul.

Gerald Drumgoole – George Washington
Drumgoole is onto his fourth school (Pitt, Albany, Delaware, now George Washington) and just played in his first game with the Revolutionaries. In 24 minutes, he went 3 for 13 from the field, scoring 10 points, grabbing four rebounds, and dishing out two assists.
