The list also includes programs in Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, Texas A&M, Auburn, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas and Colorado.
Pitt offered the bruising offensive lineman on March 23 of this year with offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau leading the way.
Canty holds a four-star rating from Rivals.com, while being listed as the fourth-best prospect in the 2026 cycle out of Michigan, the 23rd interior offensive lineman and the 201st recruit nationally.
During his junior campaign, Canty was a staple on the offensive line for a Cass Tech team that went 7-2 during the regular season and won its first-round playoff matchup against Utica Stevenson, 41-0. Canty plays with a dominant physical edge combined with speed to finish off blocks.

While Pitt has yet to land a 2026 prospect, it is now in four top lists, including four-star Westinghouse defensive back Kyshawn Robinson, four-star tight end Lincoln Watkins from Michigan and three-star New York wide receiver Messiah Hampton.
They’d better be ready to open the wallet if they want to land this guy.
This would most likely be one of the more important commitments if we can get him.
