PITTSBURGH — Two of Pitt football’s veteran leaders in tight end Gavin Bartholomew and safety Donovan McMillon spoke to the media following the Panthers’ 24-19 loss against Virginia.
The 18th-ranked Panthers fall to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in ACC play.
Bartholomew, a team captain, spoke about the Panthers receiving issues and increasing number of drops. He also talked about how the team remained composed with the injury news and officiating error in the fourth quarter.
The senior also discussed his first touchdown of the season that brought the Panthers within a point.
McMillon fielded similar questions regarding the Panthers’ approach to the game and lack of execution against the Cavaliers. He discussed his key pass breakup in the back of the end zone late in the fourth quarter, along with the play of cornerback Tamon Lynum, who made his first-career start and snagged an interception.
