PITTSBURGH — Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi took to the podium Monday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex for his weekly press conference, and for the second time in two weeks, he broke down the performance of a loss. To Virginia this time.

Narduzzi closed the book on the performance against Virginia, looked ahead to the matchup against Clemson and touched upon a number of topics surrounding the team.

Pitt has a personnel and scheme problem. This defense must change. We do not have a dominant front as in past years. The Linebackers get no depth, so you are asking kids to play one on one with little safety help. One mistake and it is a Touchdown or a long gain.You should not have to blitz all day. If Pitt wants to be taken serious they have to recruit better, fill the stadium. Why would a kid want to play in front of a half filled stadium when he can go to Penn St., Michigan or Ohio St. and… Read more »
