The Pitt football program received an unofficial visit from a Georgia lineman last week that has history with Western Pennsylvania.
Dylan Biehl is 2026 three-star offensive tackle from Lambert High School in Suwannee, Georgia.

Biehl (6-foot-5, 275 pounds) actually grew up in the Moon Township area until he was five years old. Because of his mother’s profession, he then moved to North Jersey and eventually to Georgia.
While in Western Pennsylvania, Biehl attended Friday night football games as his father, Zach, who was an assistant coach at North Allegheny High School. During that time, the Tigers won three WPIAL championships and two PIAA titles.
Biehl is a two-year starter and yesterday was recognized as a first-team All-Region 6 6-A player. That’s impressive since it’s the highest classification of football in the talent rich state of Georgia.
His on-field play has caught the attention of major college programs as Biehl has received offers from Duke, FAU, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Miami, Penn State, South Florida, Stanford, UCF, Virginia and West Virginia.
Biehl is also getting it done in the classroom as he’s loaded up with AP courses and is a National Honor Society student, carrying a 4.14 GPA.
Pittsburgh Sports Now had the opportunity to talk with Biehl Tuesday evening.
Biehl had a game day visit already scheduled to Penn State for the White Out Game but made a last minute decision to visit Pitt.
“We had an extra bye week going into the playoffs due to Hurricane Helene,” said Biehl. “A lot of games in South Georgia were rescheduled so with the extra bye week, I was able to get up to Pennsylvania.
“Initially, I only intended to go to the White Out game, but my head coach got in touch with Coach Narduzzi and because of that, we set up a visit to Pitt.”
Looking back, the decision to spend the day on the South Side and in Oakland is one that Biehl is glad he made.
“I’ve never been to Pitt and didn’t have a lot of contact with them up until this point,” said Biehl. “But on Friday when I was there, it was a great unofficial visit, and I got to see a lot of things. I got to see the entire facility, the Pitt campus and the hospitality shown by Pitt was tremendous. I got to sit through the o-line meetings and a little bit of the team walk through. I felt like I felt like I got a real exclusive look at Pitt.

“Football wise, one of the coolest things I saw was the fact that Pitt is right by the Steelers. I knew that they were close to them but to see that they were literally right next to them. So, to be able to go on the field and see them practice was really cool. I’m a pretty big Steelers fan so seeing them practice was pretty awesome. Another really cool thing that I was able to see was the Cathedral of Learning, which was a really impressive building. I think it goes to show how committed the university is to being both a great academic and athletic institution.”
Biehl said that another highlight was having the opportunity to sit in on a Pitt offensive line meeting and see the technology and behind-the-scenes aspect of college football.
In terms of conversations, Biehl mentioned 1-on-1 talks with Narduzzi along with Panthers offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau, which he said was a highlight.
“It was cool to talk to him as he’s been around a few places,” said Biehl. “He was at Western Carolina, and we had a quarterback that went to Western Carolina so he’s familiar with the area that I come from.”
Biehl is a player that’s getting heavily recruited and has visited a number of other programs. Does this visit ‘back home’ change things and maybe put Pitt on his radar?
“I definitely think it was a positive visit. I think they’ve had a chance to look at my film so far, but I think they’re kind of focusing in on their season so far. As the winter goes on and we get closer to spring football next season, I definitely think we’re going to stay in contact. I have Coach Darveau’s number, and I plan on keeping that relationship going.”
In terms of schools that have offered, he’s hearing most from Penn State, Miami, Stanford, Virginia, West Virginia and Georgia Tech.
Then other schools like Clemson, Florida State, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest have been in touch.
In terms of a timeline, Biehl would like to make his decision by the summer so can enjoy senior season without the stress of recruiting.
