Former Quaker Valley standout Adou Thiero exploded in his second game of the year for Arkansas.
Thiero, now standing at 6-foot-8, 220 pounds, went off for 24 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocks, and went 10 for 15 from the field and 2 for 4 from three-point range. This performance came just days after he signed with a well-known agency, Klutch Sports Group.

Thiero is now playing for John Calipari at Arkansas, after playing for Calipari at Kentucky in years prior.
Arkansas is once again coming up in Pittsburgh news, as just days ago, five-star Pittsburgh native Meleek Thomas also committed to the Razorbacks.

In Arkansas’ season opener, Thiero turned in a solid performance as well. In 20 minutes, he went 4 for 6 from the field with four buckets at the rim. He had eight points, four rebounds, and three steals in the win.
Thiero is a junior this season. As a sophomore, he appeared in 25 games for the Wildcats. Thiero averaged 7.2 points and 4.96 rebounds per game on the year. Per Arkansas’ team notes, Thiero led the Kentucky team in rebounding in eight separate games and scored at least ten points five times. Thiero exploded for 16 points and 13 rebounds last season in an early-season contest against Kansas.
Following the season, Thiero entered the transfer portal, where he was recruited by programs all over the country, including his hometown team Pitt. During the process, Thiero took a visit to Pitt and included the Panthers in his top five list. He eventually chose Arkansas, and joins a loaded roster that includes Johnell Davis (FAU transfer), Boogie Fland (five-star freshman), Jonas Aidoo (Tennessee transfer), DJ Wagner (Kentucky transfer), and more.

According to 247 Sports, Thiero was ranked as a four-star prospect coming out of Quaker Valley in high school. As a transfer, he ranked as the 27th-best portal option with a 95 rating.
