Pitt in the Pros

Pitt Panthers Well Represented in Week 10 of NFL Season

Former Pitt running back James Conner.

Pitt has produced NFL players at a much higher rate than many outside of Pittsburgh would expect, and that talent was on display over the weekend.

It wasn’t the most productive weekend for the former Pitt stars, but there were strong performances on the offensive line, at the skill positions and defensively.

The MVP of the week is one of three options — Minnesota Vikings right tackle Brian O’Neill, Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner and Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Calijah Kancey.

O’Neill played every offensive snap for the Vikings, protecting quarterback Sam Darnold all afternoon. Conner racked up over 100 offensive yards and reached the end zone for the fifth time this season. And Kancey is on a roll after starting the season on the shelf.

Kenny Pickett didn’t play much against the Dallas Cowboys, but he was all smiles on the field at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

Can someone remind me why Pitt moved away from these glorious uniforms? I know these were throwbacks, but damn.
