PITTSBURGH — Pitt wide receiver Censere Lee took the brunt of a hit in the fourth quarter against No. 20 Clemson and would leave the game with an apparent injury.

With 8:24 left to go in the fourth, quarterback Nate Yarnell dialed up a deep ball down inside the 10-yard line for Lee. As the ball was nearing the receiver, Clemson quarterback Avieon Terrell hit Lee, who stayed on the ground and received immediate medical attention. He would be carted off the field to the locker room.

Terrell received a pass interference call to give Pitt a first-and-10 at the Clemson 19 with the Panthers trailing by a touchdown, 17-10. The drive would result in an 11-yard touchdown to tight end Gavin Bartholomew.

Lee, a junior transfer from Western Carolina, has been a depth option at receiver for the Panthers this season. Entering the Clemson game, Lee had 19 receptions for 254 yards and three touchdowns.

Prior to Pitt, Lee recorded 1,426 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns at Western Carolina.

Lee would be the second offensive skill player Pitt lost to injury against Clemson. Running back Daniel Carter was carter off in the first half with an apparent foot injury.
