PITTSBURGH — Pitt football head coach Pat Narduzzi took to the podium to detail his team’s 24-20 loss to No. 20 Clemson at Acrisure Stadium Thursday afternoon.
The Panthers led by three points with 1:36 remaining in the game before Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik broke off a 50-yard touchdown run to put the Tigers ahead for good.
Narduzzi spoke on the defenses’ performance against Clemson and its inability to stop the Tigers when it mattered in crunch time.
The tenth-year head coach also discussed the multitude of penalties, including a series of errors on a drive that reached the Clemson 2-yard line but failed to get into the end zone.
On top of that, Narduzzi spoke about the play of quarterback Nate Yarnell, who stepped in for injured Eli Holstein, and the handful of other injuries that occurred in the loss to Clemson.
For the full Pat Narduzzi postgame press conference, watch below:
Refs miss Desmond Reid face-mask and next possesion call George for 15-yd instead of incidental. Inconsistent, Reid was masked too.
Reid did NOT step out and actually scored on that play.
Pitt played Clemson tough. Just clean up the mistakes.
No reason to hang your head.
