NORTH HUNTINGTON, Pa. — Pittsburgh Central Catholic dominated North Allegheny in every aspect of Saturday’s WPIAL Class-6A title game including the score which was 45-14. The victory secured the Vikings’ ninth overall WPIAL title and the first in four years.
The Vikings were propelled by multi-touchdown days from Jy’Aire Walls and Elijah Faulkner but the Tigers were stifled by an elite defensive performance as the Vikings gave up just 122 total yards off offense, with 79 of them coming in garbage time.
Pittsburgh Central Catholic’s Bradley Gompers, who is committed to Duke, has been predicted to flip to Michigan.
