The 2024 college football season is quickly coming to a close with preparations for the 2025 season no doubt underway.
One area that all programs have no doubt already discussed and planning for is the topic of redshirting players.
As a reminder, the NCAA rule is that if a player participates in four or less games, then he is eligible to be redshirted.
Prior to the change of immediate eligibility following a transfer this was a bigger issue but with all players seemingly on year-to-year scholarships, the importance of redshirting has somewhat diminished.
With that being said, Pitt has regular season games remaining and for the most part have made redshirting decisions on all players in their Class of 2024 but one.
Here’s a look at where things stand in terms of players that will be redshirting and the freshman that have played in more than 4 games.
