LOUISVILLE — Pat Narduzzi said that Terrence Moore was okay against Clemson but needs to be better. He’s getting a chance to get back after it against Louisville.

Lyndon Cooper, who was injured during the second half of the loss to Clemson last weekend, dressed and went through warm ups but will not play against the Cardinals. Moore is sliding into his spot at center.

Ryan Baer, Ryan Jacoby (who was inserted back into the lineup last weekend) and BJ Williams remain in the lineup at left tackle, left guard and right guard.

Isaiah Montgomery, who received his first career start against Virginia but gave way to Jackson Brown a week later against Clemson, is back in the lineup at right tackle. It’s yet another offensive line alignment for the Panthers, who have been searching for a consistent starting five this season.

“Anytime there’s changes in there and you’ve got a new center that goes in during the game — I mean, yeah, they don’t get to work together,” Pat Narduzzi said Monday at his weekly press conference. “That’s why you like to keep your continuity in your offensive line. There’s no question. And you’ve got a different quarterback in there calling cadences and different rhythm and whatever …

“But anytime you make a change, whether it’s at center, whether it’s at tackles, moving guys around, I mean, we’ve had that for a few weeks. And it’s not easy, but we’ve got to get it done. That’s our job as coaches to get it done, so that’s not an excuse.”

Eli Holstein is also back in the lineup against Louisville, after missing the Clemson loss due to injury, and the offensive line should be helped out by his mobility.

It does not matter who plays they are all garbage. 2 and 3 stars being recruited shows.

Narduzzi average record, 7-5 in his career here. Is 10-13 in last 23 games. Would be much worse if it wasn’t for Pickett! 2-3 star recruits is his limit. Cannot even recruit local talent who decide to go elsewhere. One of the worst for recruiting quarterbacks for his program. If he was in Big Ten, SEC, or other Power 5 conferences, would have been fired 2-3 years ago along with his staff. He just continues to be outcoached and out-recruited year in and year out. Hopefully, Heather Lyke’s disastrous contract extension for Narduzzi can be bought out by donors and… Read more »
