Ahead of Pitt’s game against Ohio State on Friday, head coach Jeff Capel previewed the Buckeyes in a press conference.

Capel’s Panthers sit at 6-1 on the season, ranked No. 25 in the country in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Panthers have wins over Radford, Gardner Webb, Murray State, West Virginia, LSU, and VMI, and are currently ranked No. 15 in Ken Pomeroy’s national rankings.
The Panthers will be without Damian Dunn in the game against Ohio State, who suffered a sprained ankle as well as a dislocated thumb against Wisconsin at The Greenbrier over this past weekend. He will be out at least six weeks for the Panthers.
Jaland Lowe and Ishmael Leggett have led Pitt so far this season, along with forward Cam Corhen. Lowe is playing a team-high 33.6 minutes per game, while Leggett is averaging a team-best 18 points per contest. Leggett is shooting 57% from the field and 35% from three-point range so far this year, and is also leading the team in rebounds with 6.4 per game. Lowe is second on the team in rebounds per game, averaging six. Corhen, the Florida State transfer, is playing a career-high 29.3 minutes per game, and is averaging 13.3 points and 5.6 boards per game.
