RMU Star Wide Receiver Enters Transfer Portal

Published

on

Former Robert Morris wide receiver Noah Robinson

Noah Robinson has spent a couple of seasons at a couple of different schools, most recently at RMU, but now he’s looking for a new home.

Robinson — a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver from Louisa County in Mineral, Va. — began his college career at Old Dominion. But he broke out at Robert Morris over the last two seasons.

He was a standout at RMU, racking up 99 receptions for 1,311 yards (13.2 yards per reception) and eight touchdowns over the last two seasons. He earned first-team All-NEC honors for his efforts this season.

It’s a tough market, when looking at the transfer portal, but Robinson has been able to standout during a couple of seasons with the Panthers. And with a big body, he should be able to find a way to contribute somewhere in college football — whether it’s at the FCS or FBS level.

Robinson wasn’t a top-ranked recruit out of high school, but with the way he’s produced at the college level, he’s in line for further opportunities at the college level.

Most of the time when these kids transfer up they don’t play much or at all. These little school kids egos are so big they actually think they’re good. Last night for example I watched Auburn play they have a guard who is now a bench depth player that averaged 16 a game last yr on a mid major tournament team. Now what’s he averaging? Less than 5 pts per game. The grass ain’t always greener.

Most of these kids want to find out how they would fair on the highest level! If they are ok with potentially playing less or going from being thee guy to being a role player, who are we to judge how green the grass is?!! Some may want the experience of being on a bigger campus, travelling as a power 4 athlete and everything else that comes with it! Then with NIL, who’s to say they dont want the opportunity to get paid high 5 figures / low 6 figures type of numbers on the backend of their college career?!!!?!!!
