COLUMBUS, OH. — On Friday afternoon, Pitt took home a massive win over Ohio State, beating the Buckeyes 91-90 in overtime on a game-winning three from Zack Austin.
The Panthers advanced to 7-1 on the season with the win.

Jaland Lowe led Pitt with 28 points in the win, while Ishmael Leggett also added 21 in the win. Austin had 16 points, while Papa Amadou Kante played a season-high 17 minutes and finished with 12 points and four rebounds.

Pitt picks up the enormous Quad 1A road win in Columbus to stun the Buckeyes. That’s a win that will certainly pop on the resume come March.
Pitt battled the Buckeyes throughout the entire game, falling behind by nine at halftime. The Panthers had ten players contribute in the game, with Marlon Barnes Jr. and Jorge Diaz Graham checking in late to foul. In addition, guard Amsal Delalic earned his first start of the year, filling in for the injured Damian Dunn.
Pitt now has wins over high-major teams West Virginia, LSU, and Ohio State on its early-season resume. The Panthers will now travel to Mississippi State to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the ACC/SEC Challenge before beginning ACC play with an away game against Virginia Tech to launch the conference slate.
