Jaland Lowe has been having a tremendous sophomore campaign so far.
The Houston, Texas native is averaging 16.6 points per game so far, along with 5.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists per contest. Off the court, he has been featured in an advertisement, too. As shared on Instagram, Lowe was featured in a commercial for Grind Basketball, a company that makes shooting machines for basketball players. Watch the ad below.
Grind Basketball claims that it has produced “The World’s First Portable Shooting Machine.” Check out Grind’s website here.
In his last game against Ohio State on Friday afternoon, Lowe set a career high with a 28-point outburst. He went 9 for 20 from the field in the overtime win over the Buckeyes, and grabbed four rebounds. He also had four assists in the winning effort, including the game-winning helper. He found Zack Austin, the trailer, for the game-winning three. Watch the shot below.
As a freshman, Lowe turned it on down the stretch as he got healthy for the Panthers, starting each of the final 19 games of the season. He scored 13.1 points per game on average after being inserted into the lineup, forming a dynamic backcourt with Bub Carrington, who is now playing for the Washington Wizards in the NBA.
Lowe was originally a four-star recruit in the class of 2023, rated as the 66th-ranked recruit in the class by ESPN, and he committed to Pitt prior to a standout senior season at Fort Bend Marshall.
Check out Lowe and the Panthers on Wednesday in their next game against Mississippi State on the road.
