Times have changed mightily for college football coaches in terms of priorities in the month of December.
Up until last year, the sole focus for the month of December was on making in-home visits for players in their recruiting class along with trying to win some late recruiting battles. Now, that’s all changed because of the transfer portal.
Not only does the coaching staff have to continue to focus on keeping the recruiting class together, but as important and in some cases even more important, is monitoring the transfer portal and reaching out and starting relationships with players of interest.
That is something that Pat Narduzzi and his entire staff have been busy doing since the end of the season. At this point, Pitt is set to receive December visits from three players in the portal and are working on adding to that number.
Here are some news and notes that PSN has gathered on players in the portal that Pitt has or could have future interest in.
