The college football early National Signing Day is 24 hours away on Dec. 4 and the Pitt Panthers are expected to sign a long list of commits with quarterback Mason Heintschel leading the way.
Pittsburgh Sports Now spoke with the 2025 quarterback prospect ahead of officially signing with Pitt:

Heintschel — a 6-foot-2, 200-pound recruit from Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio — became the second player in the cycle to commit to Pitt back on March 24.
Once committed, he would then take his official visit to the university from June 6-8, where he began to establish a strong relationship with other players who would later commit.
Throughout the fall, Heintschel attended as many Pitt home game at Acrisure Stadium as he could, including the Backyard Brawl.
While balancing his trips to Pittsburgh, Heintschel engineered an impressive senior season. During the regular season, he completed 170-of-241 passes (70.5%) for 2,240 yards and 34 touchdowns. He added 721 yards on the ground with five scores on the way to Clay’s first league title in over 40 years.
Heintschel will officially sign with the Panthers at Clay High School Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. He intends on enrolling early at Pitt.
