Ahead of Pitt’s game tonight against Mississippi State, national analyst Jon Rothstein provided an update on a Pitt player’s status for the game.

Rothstein tweeted out that Pitt forward Guillermo Diaz Graham will be available for the game against the Bulldogs.

Diaz Graham’s status was not made public following the game against Ohio State, Pitt’s last game on Black Friday. He subbed out of that game with 18:59 to play in the second half, and did not return to action in the overtime win.

This year, Diaz Graham, a 7-footer, is averaging 7.8 points and seven rebounds per game, while shooting 43% from the field. He is shooting 26% from three-point range this year as a junior. The Canary Islands native has started all eight games for the Panthers this year. He has scored in double figures four times, but has scored two points in two of Pitt’s last three games. Diaz Graham has been solid on the glass, grabbing 5+ rebounds in seven of Pitt’s eight games so far.

Diaz Graham appeared in 33 games last season, making seven starts, and he was a key rotational piece off the bench. He averaged 6.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.8 blocks per game with 49/41/60 shooting splits.
