Pitt finished off its early 2025 National Signing Day with the second surprise of the morning.
Pitt flipped Cameron Sapp — a 5-foot-10, 160-pound three-star wide receiver from Miami Palmetto in Miami, Fla. — from FAU, where he had been committed since Nov. 20.

It’s a process that appears to have come together rather quickly for Sapp and the Pitt coaching staff.
Sapp held offers from Bowling Green, Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, ECU, FIU, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Liberty, Maryland, Nebraska, Rhode Island, SMU, South Carolina, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Toledo, USF, Utah and West Virginia.
Sapp fits the mold of offensive coordinator Kade Bell looks for in a wide receiver, possessing blazing speed in a slight frame. He recorded 44 catches for 607 yards (13.8 yards per reception) and eight touchdowns as a senior at Palmetto.
247Sports rates Sapp as the 156th-ranked wide receiver and 156th-ranked recruit from Florida while On3 rates him as the 149th-ranked wide receiver and 119th-ranked recruit from Florida.
He has a 5.5 Rivals Rating.
Sapp is the third and final member of the 2025 wide receiving corps, joining fellow signees Tony Kinsler and Bryce Yates. It’s a skill position group (with running backs Ja’Kyrian Turner, Jaylin Brown and Synkwan Smith) that offers a whole lot of versatility.
