Ken Pomeroy's analytics rankings have updated, and seem to really like Pitt's performance against Murray State.

The sportsbooks believe that Mississippi State will take down Pitt on Wednesday night in the SEC/ACC challenge.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Mississippi State is a 6-point favorite heading into the game Vs. No. 18 Pitt on Wednesday night. You can bet the Bulldogs’ moneyline at -245, and Pitt at +200. The over/under is hovering around 149.5 points for this game.

Pitt is 6-2 against the spread this year, with its two losses to the spread coming against Wisconsin (Pitt was a 2.5-point favorite) and Gardner-Webb (Pitt was a 20-point favorite and won by 19). According to NCAA basketball analyst Jim Root, the Panthers have been the single best team in college basketball over the last 2+ seasons in covering games on the road. In its last 23 games, Pitt is 17-4-2 against the spread in road games.

Ohio State was favored by 2.5 points ahead of the Pitt game last Friday night. After the Buckeyes built a double-digit lead, Pitt came back behind Papa Amadou Kante, Jaland Lowe, Ishmael Leggett, Zack Austin, and others and won the game in overtime.

Austin sank the overtime game winner, draining a three pointer off a pass from Lowe with 0.4 seconds left on the game clock.
