Die-Hards: Former Pitt 4-Star WR Commit Planning Weekend Visit

It was a wild first day of the opening of the NCAA transfer portal as “free agency” in college football started.

Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt Panthers are quietly getting their plans together and hope to start seeing some results over the coming days as they start to host transfers on official visits.

Overnight, the Pitt coaching staff started following a number of players on Twitter, with a majority of them being wide receivers and offensive linemen.

On Monday, Pitt officially extended offers to three transfer wide receivers — DT Sheffield from North Texas, Noah Jennings from Charleston Southern and Reggie Virgil from Miami (Oh.).

Look for more offers to be extended by Pitt today to various other players with the hopes of getting them to make a visit.

Speaking of visits, PSN has learned of two more players who will be traveling to Pittsburgh this weekend, including one who was verbally committed to Pitt a couple of years ago.
