Die-Hards: Pitt Contacts Big 12 Transfer Quarterback in the Portal

With the departure of Nate Yarnell, the Pitt Panthers are looking to add another quarterback to the roster.

Eli Holstein is set to return as the Pitt starter in 2025 but behind him is a lot of inexperience with Ty Dieffenbach, Julian Dugger, David Lynch and Mason Heintschel. While those guys all have talent and promise, Pat Narduzzi and Kade Bell most likely would like to bring in some experience.

A report surfaced overnight that Pitt planned on hosting Virginia transfer quarterback Anthony Colandrea for an upcoming visit, but sources told PSN the report wasn’t accurate.

However, the Pitt staff did have conversations with another quarterback who recently entered the transfer portal.
