Pitt basketball head coach Jeff Capel isn’t often on social media.
However, over the weekend, he signed into his Twitter account to send an important message towards another Pitt athletics team.
“Had to log in real quick to give a huge shout out to Dan Fisher and our Pitt VB team for their DOMINATING win vs UK to advance to another Final Four!!!” Capel said on Twitter. “These ladies continue to AMAZE us! Keep it rolling! #H2P!!!”
Pitt’s volleyball team took down Kentucky over the weekend at the Petersen Events Center to advance to its fourth-straight Final Four.

“Kentucky is an incredible team, they are incredibly coached, they are fighters, there is no quit in them,” Pitt volleyball head coach Dan Fisher said following the match. “There is a reason their program always go deep in the tournament. I know the score says 3-0 but it certainly did not feel like that easy at any moment.”
The Panthers will play their Final Four matchup at the KFC Yum! Center on Dec. 19, 2024 and the National Championship game, if the Panthers make it that far, will be played on Dec. 22, 2024.
