Breaking Down Pitt Basketball’s Home-Game Attendance in the Capel Era

As Pitt basketball prepares for its next game against Sam Houston State, the school’s students are now on break for the holidays.

The Panthers will likely be playing in front of a lighter Oakland Zoo crowd for the second-straight game, following the Eastern Kentucky matchup. Ahead of this game, I was curious to look into Pitt’s attendance so far this season. Once I looked at this year’s attendance, I wanted to take a look at each year of the Capel era.

The Panthers are currently 9-2 overall and ranked No. 12 overall in the country in the NET rankings. Pitt is led by guards Jaland Lowe and Ishmael Leggett, along with Beebah Cummings, Cam Corhen, and others. Guard Damian Dunn is currently out after receiving thumb surgery.
