Pitt Volleyball Earns Four All-American Honors

Pitt Volleyball earns four All-American Honors.

Four All-Americans were behind a 33-1 record and another Final Four appearance for the 2024 Pitt volleyball team.

Olivia Babcock, Rachel Fairbanks and Torrey Stafford were named AVCA First Team All-Americans, along with Bre Kelley earning Second Team All-American distinction.

For the second year in a row, Babcock has earned First Team All-American honors. It comes a day after the sophomore was named a finalist for the AVCA Player of the Year Award. Babcock has already earned major recognition for an outstanding season, including ACC Player of the Year and East Coast Region Player of the Year.

The Los Angeles, Calif. native is averaging 5.85 points per set, 4.59 kills per set, 1.85 digs per set and 0.65 aces per set. She recorded a career-high 31 kills, which is a Pitt NCAA Tournament record.

Fairbanks has been a staple for the Panthers over the years as the setter was named a First Team All-American for the second-straight season.

The Tustin, Calif. native is now a three-time All-American, while also earning First Team All-ACC honors this year and AVCA East Coast Region Team member.

Fairbanks is averaging 10.56 assists per set, a career-high, and leads Pitt with a .332 hitting percentage, which ranks top in the nation.

Stafford joins Babcock and Fairbanks as a First Team All-American. It comes a year after she was named Third Team All-American as a freshman.

The sophomore earned First Team All-ACC honors and AVCA East Coast Region performer for the second-straight year. The Torrance, Calif. native is leading Power Four outside hitters in hitting percentage at .359 percent. She is also averaging 3.67 kills per set and 4.22 points per set.

Kelley received Second Team All-American honors for the first time in her career. The redshirt junior has been instrumental for the Panthers in the middle, hitting .506, along with 1.53 blocks per set, which is fifth in the nation.

The Rockwall High School (Texas) product also earned First Team All-ACC honors this season.

No. 1 Pitt takes on Louisville in the national semifinals at 6:30 on Thursday from the KFC Yum Center.
