In today’s era of college football, it’s not possible to hold on to every key member of your roster. But with that being said, the Pitt Panthers have done an excellent job this off-season of holding onto most of their core players and that continued this afternoon.
Earlier today, quarterback, Eli Holstein and linebacker Kyle Louis announced that they would be returning for the 2025 season and now we’ve learned that standout linebacker Rasheem Biles also inked a deal to remain a Pitt Panther.
It would be difficult to find a player who made more year-to-year improvement than Biles.
The sophomore from Columbus, Ohio teamed with Louis to form one of the best and most productive linebacker duos in the country.
Biles finished 2024 with 81 tackles, 6 sacks, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery, which was his first season as a starter. With this production, Biles was selected as a 2nd team All-ACC linebacker.
Much credit should go to Pitt linebacker coach Ryan Manalac for the job he’s done with this unit.
With the return of Biles, Louis, Braylan Lovelace, Jeremiah Marcelin, Cam Lindsey and Davin Brewton, Pitt will boast one of the top linebacker units in the country.
